Маруо Эйтиро, более известный как Эй-чан, прилежный ученик старшей школы, отличник и просто скромный гений, в свои пятнадцать лет наконец-таки решает, что он не совсем доволен нынешним положением вещей и с этим надо что-то делать, а именно - заниматься, причем физически. Получив флаер теннисного клуба и рискнув посетить ближайший, парень мгновенно увлекается яркостью стремлений и четкостью движений. Несмотря на отсутствие опыта и практически нулевую физподготовку, Эй-чан полон решимости пройти суровый и длинный путь тенниса, используя свой ум, способности и искреннюю преданность зацепившей его идее. И Маруо Эйтиро присоединяется к клубу.
